“Fatigue has a larger share in the promotion and transmission of disease than any other single condition you can name.”
British physician James Paget
William C. Dement, M.D., Ph. D., a leading authority on sleep, states: “We are a sleep-sick society, but the world is living in such a perpetual state of sleep deprivation that we have come to accept it as the norm. …Technology’s world without darkness wreaks havoc on our body clocks. We sacrifice sleep (good nutrition, as well as exercise and sometimes proper hygiene) to meet the demands of our endless days. Many doctors regard sleep deprivation as a fact of life—and do little to promote sleep health or awareness. Meanwhile, the physical, emotional, and psychological costs of our unhealthy sleep life continue to mount, largely without mention.”
Just as the bread and the wine reminds us of Christ's sacrifice for us, so too it ought to remind us that our old man was crucified with Christ and our new man is called to be a Living Sacrifice. Thus, our bodies are not to be used for our own pleasures and lust, but stewarded for the Master's use. This includes how, what, and when we eat, sleep, exercise, etc. Let us not revive the old man, but continually re-examine everything we do, whether it be for God's glory and kingdom, or our own.

Excellent article, sooo true. I have asked doctors about various health concerns and they never bring this up. Doctors need to stop thinking of their paycheck and consider quality and what is natural then a formulaic pill with side effects.
